Who Can Audition:

Open to performers ages 14-22 (must be 14 by the audition date).

Callbacks:

📅 Saturday, May 3 (by invitation only)
📧 Performers needed for callbacks will be notified via email.

Audition Requirements:

  • Prepare one 16-32 bar cut of a musical theatre song.
  • A second selection is encouraged in case the team needs to see more.
  • Prepare a character monologue (provided in advance).
  • Learn and perform a short dance combination from the show.
  • Performers with tumbling or stunting backgrounds are encouraged to demonstrate their skills after the dance portion.

Rehearsal Schedule:

📅 Rehearsals will take place Tuesday and Thursday evenings, beginning in late May.

Show Synopsis:

Based on the hit movie, Legally Blonde follows Elle Woods, a bubbly and determined sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend. Along the way, she discovers her own intelligence, ambition, and power, proving that being true to yourself never goes out of style. Packed with high-energy numbers, comedic moments, and heartfelt messages, this musical is a celebration of self-empowerment and perseverance.

Content Warning:

Legally Blonde includes mature themes, mild language, and references to adult relationships and stereotypes. The show also features a legal case involving harassment, which will be handled sensitively in rehearsal and performance.


Character Breakdown & Vocal Ranges:

Elle Woods (Soprano/Mezzo-Soprano, G#3–F5)

A bright, bubbly, and determined sorority girl who proves that she is more than what people assume. Strong actress, singer, and dancer required.

Emmett Forrest (Tenor, B2–A4)

A smart, kind-hearted teaching assistant who sees Elle’s potential and helps her succeed.

Paulette Buonufonte (Mezzo-Soprano, A3–A5)

A brash and funny hairdresser who becomes Elle’s best friend. Strong comedic timing required.

Warner Huntington III (Tenor, Eb3–Ab4)

Elle’s ex-boyfriend who leaves her to pursue a more “serious” future at Harvard.

Professor Callahan (Baritone, A2–F#4)

A respected but morally ambiguous Harvard professor who takes an interest in Elle’s potential.

Vivienne Kensington (Mezzo-Soprano, A3–F5)

A serious and intelligent law student who initially looks down on Elle but later supports her.

Brooke Wyndham (Alto/Mezzo-Soprano, A3–G5)

A fitness guru accused of murder. Strong dancer required (jump rope choreography).

This Senior Summer production is designed to mirror a professional-level experience, with an intensive rehearsal schedule and high expectations. Tuition: $450.
