The Audition Edge
Fridays | 5:00–6:00 PM

About the Class
Step into the audition room with confidence, preparation, and a clear understanding of what makes performers stand out. The Audition Edge is a focused six-week program designed to help young performers develop the skills, strategies, and confidence needed to approach auditions successfully.
Whether auditioning for school productions, community theatre, competitive programs, or future performance opportunities, students will learn how to prepare effectively, make strong choices, and present themselves with professionalism and confidence.
Through guided instruction, hands-on activities, mock auditions, and individualized feedback, performers will strengthen every part of the audition process, from selecting material to making a memorable first impression.
Students Will Learn To:
Choose Strong Material: Select monologues and song cuts that showcase individual strengths and connect to specific roles or opportunities.
Prepare Like a Professional: Learn how to organize audition materials, mark cuts, communicate with accompanists, and arrive prepared.
Create a Confident Slate: Practice introducing themselves clearly, professionally, and authentically.
Analyze Audition Opportunities: Learn how to read audition notices, understand expectations, and make informed preparation choices.
Navigate Cold Reads and Sides: Build confidence responding to adjustments, making quick choices, and working in the room.
Present with Confidence: Develop stage presence, body awareness, and strategies for managing nerves.
Participate in Mock Auditions: Apply skills in a supportive environment while receiving personalized feedback and coaching.

Acting the Song: Where Music Meets Acting
Wednesdays | 5:00–6:00 PM

Where music meets acting!
A great song is more than notes and lyrics, it is a story waiting to be told. Acting the Song helps performers learn how to connect emotionally, make strong character choices, and transform a musical selection into a compelling performance.
Through guided exercises, individual feedback, and performance opportunities, students will explore how to interpret lyrics, discover character motivation, and develop the confidence needed to deliver authentic and engaging musical theatre performances.
Students Will Learn To:
Interpret Lyrics: Discover the story, emotions, and meaning behind the words to create a stronger connection to the song.
Develop Character Choices: Explore character goals, motivations, and intentions to create a more believable performance.
Make Confident Acting Choices: Use facial expressions, movement, and vocal choices to bring characters and stories to life.
Connect Voice and Emotion: Learn how to create performances that feel genuine, expressive, and connected.

Arts4All: It’s Raining Cats & Dogs! A 101 Dalmatians Musical Theatre Class
Thursdays | 5:30–6:30 PM
Dates: September 10–November 5
Ages: 5–10

Join us for a tail-wagging musical theatre adventure inspired by Disney’s 101 Dalmatians! This inclusive Arts4All class welcomes young performers of all abilities, with a special focus on new performers and students who benefit from a supportive, creative, and encouraging environment.
Students will explore the world of Pongo, Perdita, and the lovable Dalmatian puppies through acting, singing, movement, and storytelling activities. Together, performers will build confidence while learning scenes and songs inspired by 101 Dalmatians and creating a fun ensemble experience where every artist has a chance to shine.
Through theatre games, character exploration, music, and movement, students will grow their performance skills at their own pace in a welcoming and sensory-friendly environment. The class will conclude with a final performance experience celebrating the hard work, creativity, and individuality of each performer.
The Arts4All program emphasizes creativity, teamwork, confidence, and inclusion while celebrating each artist’s unique voice and abilities.
Students Will Learn To:
Act in Scenes: Explore characters, storytelling, and expression through guided theatre activities.
Sing with Confidence: Develop vocal skills while learning fun musical theatre songs.

Foundations I: Building Confidence Through Dance
DAY Saturdays | TIME 1:30 – 2:30 PM

Whether you’re stepping into a dance class for the first time or looking to strengthen your foundation, Foundations I is the perfect place to begin. Designed for aspiring performers ages 10–18, this class introduces the core techniques of ballet, jazz, and musical theatre dance in a welcoming, encouraging environment where students can grow at their own pace.
Through fun combinations, technique exercises, and performance-focused activities, students will develop strength, coordination, flexibility, musicality, and confidence while learning the fundamentals needed for musical theatre and dance. Along the way, they’ll discover that great performers don’t just know the choreography, they know how to tell a story.
At Ignite, we believe every performer deserves a strong foundation. This class emphasizes proper technique, creative expression, and the confidence to take risks, preparing students for future productions, auditions, and more advanced dance training.

Foundations II: Refining Technique and Storytelling
Saturdays | 3:00 – 4:00 PM

Take your musical theatre dance training to the next level with Foundations II! This intermediate-level class is designed for dancers who have completed Foundations I or have equivalent training and are ready to refine their technique, deepen their artistry, and build confidence as performers.
Students will continue developing skills in ballet, jazz, and musical theatre movement while focusing on technical precision, strength, balance, transitions, and performance quality. Through challenging choreography, musical exploration, and character-driven movement, dancers will learn how to combine strong technique with meaningful storytelling.
Each class blends focused training with creative expression, helping performers understand not only how to execute choreography, but how to connect with an audience through movement.
Students Will Learn To:
Refine Technique: Strengthen alignment, control, transitions, and precision in ballet, jazz, and musical theatre styles.
Develop Musicality: Explore rhythm, phrasing, timing, and dynamics to enhance performance quality.
Tell Stories Through Movement: Connect emotion, intention, and character to choreography.

Foundations III: Advanced Technique and Performance

Continue developing your musical theatre dance skills with Foundations III! This advanced-level class is designed for experienced dancers who are ready to refine their technique, strengthen their performance abilities, and explore the artistry required to bring choreography to life.
Students will build upon previous training in ballet, jazz, and musical theatre movement while focusing on advanced technique, precision, musicality, and performance quality. Through challenging combinations, complex choreography, and character-driven movement, dancers will learn how to perform with confidence, intention, and individuality.
Each class combines focused technical training with creative exploration, helping performers develop the skills needed to approach auditions, rehearsals, and performance opportunities with greater confidence and preparation.
Students Will Learn To:
Advance Technical Skills: Refine alignment, strength, control, flexibility, and execution across multiple dance styles.
Master Musicality: Develop a deeper understanding of rhythm, phrasing, dynamics, and movement quality.
Elevate Performance Quality: Explore character, emotion, and storytelling to create engaging performances.

Ignite Theatre Company – General Class Policy
At Ignite Theatre Company, we are committed to providing a high-quality, supportive educational experience for all students. Please review our policies before enrolling.
Registration & Attendance
- All students must be registered in advance for the full session. Some classes may allow for late entry, but all classes are closed to new registrations after three class sessions.
Drop-in participation is not permitted unless otherwise noted for specific programming. - Consistent attendance ensures student growth and group success.
Refund Policy
All class tuition is non-refundable.
- Once a student is registered and payment is received, we cannot issue refunds for any reason, including schedule changes, illness, or other conflicts
Canceled Classes
If a class must be canceled due to weather, staff illness, or other unforeseen circumstances, we will:
- Do our best to offer a make-up session.
- If a make-up cannot be scheduled, families will receive a credit toward future Ignite programming.
- No monetary refunds will be issued.
Class Expectations
Students should arrive on time, dressed appropriately for movement, and ready to participate.
- Respect for instructors, fellow students, and the learning environment is required at all times.
- Families will be contacted if behavioral or attendance concerns arise.
- We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us create a consistent, safe, and inspiring space for young performers to grow.
