Our Staff

Libby Pedersen ~ Executive Director

Libby holds a Bachelor’s degree from Columbia College Chicago in Theatre with an emphasis in performance and a concentration in Elementary Arts education. In her career on stage Libby appeared in more than 150 regional productions but it was off stage working with young artists and creating youth arts opportunities that helped IGNITE her path. Libby worked toward regional arts opportunities for area youth serving as Youth Programs Coordinator at Stray Dog Theatre (while there creating Stray Pups Youth Theatre), founding Ignite Theatre Company and serving as executive director. “I could not be more proud of the community Ignite has helped create and the SPARKs who exemplify Ignite’s mission of great people first and great performers second every day and in every direction.” When she’s not focused on all things Ignite Libby resides in Shrewsbury with her filmmaker husband, Jørgen and their spoiled dog, Icky.
